What do you do with a 5 foot Timber Rattler? You skin it, make a few belts and if your from Kentucky you eat the rest! Hey! don't knock it until you try it.. taste like chicken!
Welcome to my cabin! Grab a seat and sit a spell, I am so glad you stopped by. You are now in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, where the winters are long and the fires are warm.
I live in Berea, Kentucky right down on the other side of the mountains. Berea is located on a ridge, and some say we make our home where the bluegrass ends and the mountains begin.
Berea is home to Berea College, and the town has a reputation of some very handy craftman.
I spend my time making something out of nothing, revamping junk, so to speak.
I am also an avid horse rider and my spring, summer and fall are spent on the back of my beloved horse, Penny.
Every year we go to the Rattlesnake Round-up....We watch to see who rounds up the most rattlers ....We have the best time and yes they are good eatin'
